What is Pinewood Bowl Theater?

Pinewood Bowl Theater is the name given to the facility for the summer concert series produced by ASM Global and Mammoth Live of Lawrence, KS in cooperation with the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department.

Where is Pinewood Bowl Theater?

Pinewood Bowl Theater is located inside Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. The park is located at 3201 South Coddington Avenue in southwest Lincoln. For a more detailed map, check out our Parking & Directions section.

What is your clear bag policy?

Only CLEAR BAGS and small clutch-sized purses and wallets 4.5″ x 6.5″ or smaller are acceptable at entry. For the clear bag policy and list of prohibited items, visit Please visit the event page on this site for show-specific restrictions the week of the show.

What items are not allowed?

The following items are NOT allowed in Pinewood Bowl Theater:

  • BAGS, BACK PACKS, OR LARGE PURSES. (An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.) 
  • Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances or any paraphernalia associated with drug use
  • Animals (Service animals are welcome)
  • Audio/Video recorders, professional cameras, or tripods
  • Cans, glass bottles, bottles, coolers & picnic baskets or other similar containers
  • Fireworks
  • Flags/Signs with poles
  • Frisbees
  • Glow Items (sticks/necklaces/bracelets, etc)
  • In-Line roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bicycles
  • Laser pens/pointers of any type
  • Lawn chairs and blankets
  • Musical instruments
  • Noisemakers such as air horns or Vuvuzelas
  • Outside food and beverage
  • Pepper spray/Mace
  • Selfie sticks, iPads/tablets/computers
  • Signs larger than 8.5 x 11
  • Strollers 
  • Umbrellas
  • Water bottles
  • Weapons including pocket knives, tasers, firearms & spiked jewelry (these items will be confiscated and not returned)

*IMPORTANT – If any item is revealed during a search, patrons may dispose of the item or they may return to their vehicle with the item. Pinewood Bowl Theater does not safeguard any personal belongings of any type.

Where is the rideshare dropoff?

Clearly identified rideshare vehicles may enter Pioneers Park through the 3201 S Coddington east gate.  A parking attendant will be stationed at the Buffalo Circle to direct traffic. Passengers will then be dropped off at the triangular intersection east of Pinewood Bowl and the rideshare vehicle will loop around the triangle and exit through the east gate.  This will alleviate the long wait to enter the park from the north.

After the show, the rideshare pickup location will be the same as the dropoff location east of Pinewood Bowl. Rideshare drivers will pick-up passengers by arriving from and exiting through the east gate on Coddington Avenue.

Is parking available?
  • Attendees to The Great Pinewood Bluegrass Festival can enter Pioneers Park & use lot during public park hours 6AM to 11PM. A $10 parking fee applies.
  • Attendees to concerts only (not Bluegrass Festival) can enter Pioneers Park & use lot during public park hours from 6AM to 11PM. A $5 parking fee applies.
  • Please use the West Van Dorn Street entrance. 
Will a show be cancelled if there is bad weather?

Is smoking allowed inside Pinewood Bowl Theater?

There is a designated area inside Pinewood Bowl Theater where patrons can smoke.

Is camping allowed in Pioneers Park?

Overnight camping is not permitted at Pinewood Bowl Theater or anywhere in Pioneers Park. For info on camping in the area, click here  or call (402) 471-1414.

Where can I buy tickets?

There are multiple ways to purchase tickets for Pinewood Bowl Theater events:

  • Tickets can be purchased at the Pinnacle Bank Arena Innovative Pain & Spine Ticket Office located at 400 Pinnacle Arena Drive in Lincoln (No sales at the PBA Ticket Office DAY OF ON SALE), online at, or the Ticketmaster App on your mobile device.
  • Need help with an existing Ticketmaster order, please call Ticketmaster Fan Support at 1.800.653.8000 (Live Person Monday – Friday 9am – 9pm.  Saturday 9am – 8pm local. Sunday 9am – 6pm.)
  • Tickets can be purchased on event days at Pinewood Bowl Theater beginning one hour before doors open.
  • Tickets are subject to additional fees.

    What is mobile ticket delivery?


    Now there’s no need to remember a hard ticket at home – fans can have their tickets with them at all times. Ticketmaster’s Mobile Ticket Delivery allows fans to carry their ticket and have it scanned from their smartphone.

    • People can select this delivery preference when purchasing tickets online from when available.
    • Mobile tickets are more secure than loose paper tickets that can be stolen, scalped or sold on the market as counterfeit. Mobile entry makes printing and shipping cost a thing of the past.
    • Mobile entry also enables a customer to purchase a ticket at any time, even when approaching the gate.

    Mobile Tickets: When Mobile Entry is selected at checkout, your mobile phone is your ticket. Your tickets will not be available for print or emailed to you. To access your ticket(s): Download the Ticketmaster App or visit on your mobile phone; log in to your Ticketmaster account and locate the order with your tickets; tap and show at the entrance into the event. Your phone will be scanned for entry and you’re in!

    Mobile Entry Is Easy
    We recommend viewing your Mobile Entry tickets prior to arriving to your event. The Ticketmaster App will save your ticket(s) and will allow you to view them in the event, even if you lose internet access. See Example Here. If you’re using the Ticketmaster mobile internet site instead of the Ticketmaster App, you will also be given the option to save your tickets if viewed prior to losing internet connection.

    HELPFUL HINT: Prior to the public on sale, please go NOW to or log into the Ticketmaster App on your mobile device to create an account or refresh your existing Ticketmaster account for a quicker purchasing experience. You can also add your ticket(s) to your phone’s “wallet.” Be sure your mobile phone has a fully charged battery.

    What are the ticket office hours?

    The Pinnacle Bank Arena Innovative Pain & Spine Ticket Office is located at 400 Pinnacle Arena Drive in Lincoln.

    On the day of an event, tickets can be purchased at Pinewood Bowl Theater one hour before the doors to the bowl open.

    How are will call tickets handled?

    Patrons may pick up their tickets at will call beginning 60 minutes before an event. Photo identification and your Ticketmaster confirmation number are needed to pick up tickets. Tickets are issued only to the person whose name is on the account.

    How do I know I'm getting the best seats?

    The Ticketmaster computer system selects the best available tickets based on a priority seating location assignment within the price range you choose to purchase tickets.

    Will there be chairs to sit in?

    For reserved seating events, chairs will be provided. The seat is a plastic folding chair. 

    For general admission events, there will be no assigned seating and Pinewood Bowl will be open, without seats on the lawn of the bowl. With space permitting, limited seating may be available in the back of the lawn area for general admission shows. Please visit the event page on this site for show specific seating/chair information.

    Why are concerts sometimes listed on other sites?

    Many fan and artist web sites will list tour itineraries. When a concert is confirmed with complete date and ticket information, it is listed here at when a public announcement through the media has been made.

    Will premium seating ticket packages be available?

    Yes, premium packages are available for each concert. Here’s what’s included:

    • Admittance ticket
    • Premium parking in the first three rows
    • Reclining lounge chair located on the southside berm (house left)
    • One free drink ticket and cash bar
    • Catering (buffet style)
    • Private restrooms
    • Pinewood Bowl koozie

    Is accessible seating available?

    Yes, there is a section designated for those that require accessible seating. For special ticketing accommodations, please call Olivia Wilson at 402.904.5641 or email no less than two weeks prior to an event. For more information, please visit

    Can someone help me find my seat?

    Yes, our event staff is trained to make your visit safe and enjoyable. Staff members are easy to find because they are positioned throughout the facility and will be wearing identifiable clothing. Don’t hesitate to ask them for assistance whenever necessary.

    What time do doors open for an event?

    The doors to Pinewood Bowl Theater generally open one hour before the start of the event. Show-specific information will generally be posted on this website.

    • Attendees to concerts only can enter Pioneers Park & use lot during public park hours from 6AM to 11PM. A $5 parking fee applies.
    • Please use the West Van Dorn Street entrance.
    Can I bring my camera to concerts?

    Camera policies can vary according to each concert.  Non-professional cameras are generally allowed. This is a show-specific policy as determined by the artist; please visit the individual event page for more information. Audio and video recording equipment is not allowed.

    Can I tailgate in the parking areas before an event?

    You’re welcome to have a picnic in the parking areas before an event. However, no alcohol is allowed in parking areas. Please respect the rights of others and always clean up after your activity to keep Pioneers Park beautiful.

    Will beer/alcoholic beverages be for sale?

    Yes, these beverages will be on sale at age-appropriate events to adults 21 years of age and older with proper ID. Sales of beer and other alcoholic beverages will be conducted only inside the Pinewood Bowl Theater during select events.

    Will there be an ATM available?

    A Pinnacle Bank ATM will be on site at Pinewood Bowl Theater for each concert.

    Is there a re-entry policy?

    For your safety, once a person exits Pinewood Bowl Theater, re-entry is strictly prohibited.
