The Oak Ridge Boys are made up of lead singer Duane Allen, tenor Joe Bonsall, baritone William Lee Golden, and bass Richard Sterben. They have one of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in the music industry. Known for their iconic and multi-platinum selling hit “Elvira,” along with other chart-toppers like “Bobbie Sue,” “Thank God For Kids,” and “Leaving Louisiana In The Broad Daylight,” The Oak Ridge Boys have achieved a decorated career. Their four-part harmonies and upbeat songs have spawned dozens of country hits and earned them Grammy, Dove, CMA, and ACM Awards. The group has scored 12 gold, three platinum, and one double platinum album, plus one double platinum single, and more than a dozen national No. 1 singles and over 30 Top Ten hits. The Oak Ridge Boys are members of the Grand Ole Opry and achieved arguably country music’s highest honor in October 2015 when they were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The legendary group will release their latest album, 17th Street Revival, on March 16, 2018. The new album fuses the sounds of contemporary gospel music with the energy of early 1950’s rock and roll.
The Oak Ridge Quartet began around World War II, performing country and gospel in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, near Knoxville. In the mid-1950s, the group was featured in Time Magazine as one of the top-drawing gospel groups in the nation. The quartet of Allen, Bonsall, Golden, and Sterben was established in the early 1970s after the original group had more than 30 members come and go through the years. The Oak Ridge Boys changed their focus in 1977 to a more country sound, which took the music scene by storm.
ABOUT HOME FREE
The all-vocal country sensation Home Free is bringing Nashville country standards and country-dipped pop hits to town (and having a great time doing so). The band comes to town on the heels of their most recent full-length album release, Timeless, bringing with them new music, new jokes, and new production.
Home Free has become a household name, amassing more than 185-million YouTube views, and entertaining more than 300,000 people live in concert since bursting on the national scene in 2013. The 5-man band has become known for their show-stopping performances that mix their signature no-instrument, all-vocal music with their quick-witted humor.
Their fourth studio album, Timeless, which was released on September 23, 2017, via Columbia Records and debuted at the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. This release marks the 4th consecutive top 5 Billboard debut for their album.
Audiences can expect new music and new stylings, plus country hits like Maren Morris’ “My Church,” pop slams like Shakira’s “Try Everything,” and fan favorite classics like the calypso-infused arrangement of Johnny Cash’s “Ring Of Fire.”
